So what do you do if your spaceship breaks down in space? Will there be space tow trucks? If we are to believe scenarios put forth by sci-fi movies, we are supposed to freeze ourselves in hibernation chambers and wait for someone to just happen by? And you know people’s spaceships are going to break down frequently. I mean, people can’t even keep rudimentary gasoline fueled internal combustion engines running reliably. Interstellar spacecraft are going to be a million times more complicated. Well, perhaps “breaking down” might be the least of your worries while jaunting through space. More likely than not ninety-nine out of one hundred mishaps in space will result in your spaceship suddenly disintegrating into a bajillion dust-sized particles anyway, so waiting for someone to just happen by isn’t something you’re going to have to worry much about. Safe space travels!
